Intersect—Where Men Actually Think!

Intersect meets every Tuesday at 7:00 pm at various homes for lively conversation and friendly disputation on philosophy, theology and the latest ideas sweeping our country and the world. Each week's discourse seeks to be intelligent, imaginative and hospitable with a goal of encouraging each other to know what we believe, why we believe it and how does it effect our daily lives.

Discussion topics in include:

• Does faith precede regeneration or does regeneration precede faith?
• Critique on N.T. Wright and the New Perspective on Paul
• Augustine vs. Pelagius
• Was Christ’s nature and will such that He could not have sinned,
     or such that He would not sin? (John 8:28-29)
• Imputation and the Nature of Our Falleness
• The Law of God from a New Covenant Perspective
• What is Covenant Theology: the underlying issues of hermeneutics and the principles
     of interpreting the Scriptures
• Where is the church in America going? What will it look like in the future?
• The Ninth Commandment: Does everyone always have a right to the truth?
• The Reformation: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
• Discussion of Bart Ehrman's book "Misquoting Jesus" and dealing with the uncomfortable
     and hard questions of textual criticism.
• "Separation of church and state" and "was/is America a Christian nation?"
• With so many traditions in the world, why do you believe your interpretation of the Bible is correct?
• The basic hermeneutical presupposition is that every text is connected to Jesus Christ,
     and every text is interpreted by Jesus Christ.

• Four Questions for Students in a Hostile Environment:
